Well I wanted to "test drive" my model in Fs2002 so I decided to export it. There weren't any unusual (and important) problems, but every time I try to export it, it stops on 83% and says that there isn't enough memory for the program and that it will now be closed, and gives me an option to save it.......
I got a pretty good computer, Pentium 4 1700, and I don't think that should happened....... I even closed all the other running programs.......
Anyone have seen something like this before?

Hey, how are you men........... 8)

you have to check the system memory, for this kind of programs you really need it.  say no lower than 384 -512 mgb ram are needed.

You do not specify how much do you have...............

Also, the computer must have activated the virtual memory that uses hard drive up to 2 mgb or so.  In case your video card has not enough memory also.

whats the poly count on the model?
and which program is it you're using?
Also have you tried just leaving it.. a lot of the time on mine it appears to stop dead then after a min or two it'll finish and resort back to gmax, file exported et al.

Really? and other computers can't?
LMAO, I only got 128!
These models are extremely expensive in Israel since they only got here, and you might know that the all economic situation here isn't well........ and my parents are not the kind of people to replace a machine every two years...... especially not just for one 3D model Sad

Dan, how much poly count is recommended? it's a pretty simple model you know........
It's on gMax.........

weeeel poly wise, i like to stick under 50,000 but it all depends on how detailed etc.
some models are 12,000, some are 60,000. depends on the designer and other aspects.
As for 128mb.. lol... try booting into safe mode (by pressing f8 on startup; at the splash screen) then doing it. That'll make sure the pc doesnt load wanton crap and only loads the stuff you can [barely] survive on.

Many thanks Dan Cheesy
Should I do anything before you export it (such as part naming)?
I only want to check up the basic model (no animations and other thing...)
I sent you it right now Smiley
