Hi out there

I'm having a major problem with FS2002, and i hope someone can help me.

Here's some info.

P733 with via apollo chip set
512 MB of ram
Nvidia 4XAGP card with 32 MB of memory
Windows 2000 Pro

The problem:

1.  System locks up when running FS
2.  System re-boots while in FS

I had a error "FS2002.exe error"  the program stopped responding and shelled out.

I uninstalled and re-installed with the result as shown under problems 1 and 2.  I disabled anti-virus software prior to re-installing the program.

Microsoft doesn't know what's causing these problems.  does anyone else?

Thanks

Hi Ernie,

There are a number of possibilities.

My first thought when I see problems like this is heat. If you're happy opening your PC case, I'd check (with the power off) that all your fans (CPU cooler, graphics card fan, if any and case fan) are spinning freely - they often get gunged up. Clean all the fluff that builds up out of the slots and apertures.

If that doesn't make it any better, you could look at a defrag if you haven't done one recently. That is often a big help.

How much free hard drive space do you have btw?
