HI EVERYONE; ON THE JETS WHEN YOU SWITCH FROM IAS TO MACH DO YOU HAVE TO DO ANY THING ELSE SUCH AS KEY COMMAND OR ANYTHING TO ACHIVE MACH. WHEN DO YOU KNOW YOU ARE AT MACH SPEED COMPARE TO IAS. THANKS

You shouldn't need to press any keys other than switching on the auto throttle.  Some aircraft have a "Mach meter" which will display your speed as a mach number.  If the aircraft does not have this facility the only way to tell is to look at your ground speed on the GPS, this should hopefully be reasonably high.
