I would like to thank ramsa329 for spending the last weekend with me performing his system tweaks and FS2k2 tweaks. The man knows his stuff. Now, in the past, I could fly FS2k2 with most settings on medium and not much higher and at a resolution of 1024X768. After performing the "Surgery" and with some extensive testing, we found that I can now fly with EVERYTHING maxed and at a resolution of 1280X1024. The frame rates are a little lower than before his help, but still flyable and the added beauty of the scenery and abundance of it is truly awesome. What's even more amazing is that this is not on a Super Machine but a lowly Compaq Presario, 800 Mhz computer. Course, I do have a good graphics card and had already tweaked my system so she runs as fast as she can. No overclocking though.
Thanks ramsa329 for your help and patience. Even if I didn't notice any improvement, the learning experience would have been worth the time. S~

I don't think so, Ramsa and I were up until 11:30pm last night and we are "working" again tonight. He said something I got a laugh out of last night while we were working. I said, "I guess I won't be going out and replacing my computer soon after we put all this time and effort into it", and he responded by saying...."when we are finished,........You won't NEED a New Computer!!!!"
Nice pics Fireman, love that detail!!

Thx fellas. I just wonder if ramsa has time for anything else.
Had a problem with my card and the drivers for it affecting the 3D Now option. Finally found that the Catalyst 3.2 drivers for my ATI Radeon 8500 64MB card fix it. Otherwise, we would have been done much sooner. The guy is patient, that's for sure.
