while I never speed up the sim myself, I do admit that when on a long VFR flight with the autopilot on I do leave on ocassion to bake a cake, watch some hoops or clean the apt a little. Tipster, do you actually sit in your desk chair the entire flight on your rtw stuff??????
Well, pretty much, yes. If it's a long leg, and most of them tend to be, I'll eat my meals off a tray.
If I'm on a long haul without much to look at and the A.I. traffic is quiet, I'll nip in here leaving the sim chugging in the background, but I don't do it a lot.
One of my flight rules is that if I crash and looks as though it would have been terminal in real life, that's the end of the trip. So I don't like leaving the screen for too long. I'd be really sick if I was in here and I went back to see the Baron buried in the side of a mountain because I wasn't paying attention LOL.

I have to admit that when I was doing my own RTW tour, last Christmas, one of the legs was from Moscow to Beijing. Does anyone know how desolate the landscape is in that area??? It looks like Microsoft just left a big flat blank spot in the scenery. I had to jump to 4x sim speed, because I just couldn't spend the time like that. I made up for it on the Beijing to Honolulu leg. Blue water and blue sky. That's it. But I did it in real time.
Needless to say, I haven't been on a jaunt like that since. Maybe someday.
