OK, I'm headed from Patagonia at the southern tip of Chile and I'm flying toward the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole on my way to western Australia and all of a sudden I see the Northern Lights, but its near the South Pole! I had never heard of the Southern Lights but seeing them made me look it up and low and behold, its called "Aurora Australis" and its visible in FS2002! Cool
I'm at S70`94.68' latitude/W80`5.75' longitude

The Southern Lights seem to be more extensive and last much longer than the Northern Lights that I've seen. It was quite a show both in daylight and at night. I should mention that I was flying at FL 290 and at current date and time (early May).
It pisses me off that we can't get to the actual North and South Pole on MS 2002. I want to land at 90 degrees South Latitude!

I found them a week or so ago when I installled the Antarctic bases add on. If you want to go south, that add on has a South Pole base about 160 miles from the pole. I'm afraid that's about as close as you can get.

It's got a couple bases out of place because of the setup of FS2002 but it'll give you airports in Antarctica. Look for ATA2K2_A.zip.
