Well, didn't work too well tonight. Such a shame because we used to have loads of fun with this. These are the only shots I got.
Don't know how I got those two kills. Didn't get shot down at all (even when I was 1 against 2) but did collide a couple of times. My superb Spitfire XII could not catch up with Woody's Hornet and Craig's Tempest II but it sure could out turn them both!

i wish i was.
i tend to throw planes around close to the ground and i keep forgetting these ww2 fighters are as manuverable as jet planes, so i usually end up pancaked onto the floor

Ah, now that's because you used a Tempest. No good as a low level dogfighter. Get a Clipped Winged Spit from Paul Rebuffat's site and I'll see you next week!

okie dokie
thanks for the recommendation
my other tactic is a figure 8 loop which is extremely effective in a jet fighter and as long as you can bring it round a couple of feet from the ground your opponent if they keep up in the 8 will slam into the ground if not you can usually get them when they are coming over the top.
now why would he tell you this perhaps its a well known manuever or perhaps you cant do it in a WW2 fighter.
but i will try next week.
bring a spare chute
muhahahah:)

now i know who to turn to when my chute refuses to open again
it was a sad sad moment when all i could hear was the futile scream of my pilot in his last moments

Well not much catches up with my Hornet. Even a 262 struggles to keep up/get away.
Anyway I shall recheck me Tigermoth for next week...

As in DeHavilland Hornet Circa 1945 (i think). Very fast with 2 Merlins.

I have that Hornet installed and it showed up from my point of veiw last night. I tried to get a grat head to head shot at one point, but Woody was well past me before I hit printscreen!
I'll get some propper combat shots next week, even if I have to get myself shot down for the camera!
