Well what can i say about the help and patience shown to me by Mr Ramsa this week.

Not to mention the fact he helped change my nice but average graphics in FS2002 into some thing im really over the moon with.

it is obvious that he has spent a lot of time researching and twiddling with the settings. (and a lot of time with me)

This guy knows his stuff when it comes down to Microsoft flight Simulations.

Thank you Michael you are a credit to the flight simulator community.

Keep up the good work!  Wink

Kindest Regards

There is no question that this is the top of the heap(Ramsa) when you are talking about tweaking....his help is very much apparent as soon as you compare shots posted before and after his help.........good stuff, once again !

yup he has helped alot of people

He didn't help me, instead he stole from me. I told him I'd give him a scenery from simflyers.com and also told him to go ahead and check out the demo and if he liked it I'll give him the code and we'll proceed with the pc tweaking(I was building a computer at that moment). He told me he wanted an European scenery that he likes flying in europe so I went ahead and gave him the code for Manchester Intl i think it was, and his answer was " Well that scenery isn't what I'm looking for at the moment, I'm not going to use it(Yeah right!!!). Instead you can buy this other aircraft(some kind of military aircraft) because what I'm about to teach you  will be worth more than all that..... and then we will proceed with the computer tweaking."

He told me that he does this for a living...................

Anyways I almost bought that other military aircraft for him but I thought for a sec, I just gave him a scenery from simflyers.com and he hasn't told me crap about how to tweak my pc to get fs2002 running smooth, this sounds like a scam.

I'm not trying to turn anybody against him, I don't even know who the hell he is. I just came across this topic and thought I'd tell everybody who visits this forum about what happened with this guy.

I don't doubt he is good with graphics or whatever it is that he does to computers, But money does not fall from the sky, I work hard to earn my money and I don't appreciate anybody "stealing" from me like that.

LOL, why did you give him the code first, when I talked to him I gave him what he wanted AFTER he helped me, like we agreed to. He does do this for a living, he helps companies and people get their PC's up to extremely high capability. He didnt steal from you, did he ask for the code before you gave it to him? tsk tsk tsk  Undecided

Yes, he did ask for the code first, and then said that we will proceed with the tweaking. I told him to try out the scenery before I gave him the code that way he could make sure he liked it. He said oh send it anyways I am sure I'll like it, I like flying in Europe anyways. So I gave him the code expecting that we would proceed with the tweaking. I call it stealing because he didn't do what he was supposed to do and got something from me which I paid for. If you and I were to trade something over the net a scenery download or something like, and you go ahead and send me the codes first. However, I don't send you the codes and come back to you with a real pitiful lie such as "oh I am not going to use  this scenery blah blah blah...." You don't call that stealing?
He and I both agreed to do it that way, but he was the one that messed up.

Even though you may call it stealing, what you took part in was piracy.  That bad-mouths you, ALONG with your accusations against Michael.  Giving a reg. code to someone without them buying it is illegal, even if you were doing it in return for his help.

Piracy takes many forms..  Undecided

It bad mouths me? ok big deal. You guys probabbly don't beleive me do you? That's how most of you had paid him for his "help" maybe not you but I'm sure that a lot other people have. You can deny it all you want but you know it's true. You know that no one is going to send him a check or money order. I bought the scenery for him as part as a deal. I never used the scenery. In fact I don't even have it. Like when you buy something for somebody. So when you win a screenshot contest over at flightsim.com the webmaster gives you a scenery of your choice from www.simflyers.net. that is exactly what I did.

Look everyone I'm not trying to start an argument here. You can call me liar or whatever you want to, I don't care. Like I said before I came across this topic and I thought I'd tell everyone about what happened between this guy and I.

He can post here denying it and all of you probably will beleive him; fine with me I don't care.

But he knows well enough about this and he knows it's true. I'm not accusing him, or mad at him. I'm just letting it out because it pissed me off at the time. After all it's just water under the bridge.

Ok enough already! hehehehe Wink

Look it was like this with me, I asked him for help.

He gave me his terms and conditions for helping me.
I thought them fair we made an agreement.

And what i got in turn was...................................

1. An amazingly patient, helpful guy on the other end   of the line who actually knew what he was doing.

2. A guy who will take as long as it takes to get the job done.

3. What does job done mean? well, Michael will simply not quit till you, the person who needs the help is completely satisfied and happy with the enhancements made by the Ramsa tweaks.

4. So what if the guy makes a living from it? do you not see a lawyer when in need of one? And does this said lawyer get your divorce for free. HELL NO! lol
Dont forget guys and gals RAMSA is a professional!

5. After seeing the difference in the quality of my FS2002 and the "feel" of it well i just got to say........

WORTH EVERY DAMNNED MOMENT THAT MICHAEL HAD TO PUT UP WITH MY SOMETIMES INEPT KNOWLEGE OF PC GRAPHICS

6. Did i mention i was about to go buy a top line graphics card? well, i dont have to now What a saving!

Seriously

My advice to anyone wanting the best from the graphics in FS2002 get hold of him and see what a difference you can make to your Sim.

Kindest Regards

KEEP ON SIMMING! Cheesy

I've been avoiding replying to this thread upto now because, so far, there's been no reply from RAMSA and I think it's only fair that he ought to comment if he decides to.

However, I'll just make this point:

I'm sure he's very very good at what he does. There's sufficient comment on here to suggest so.

However, I've never paid anyone for advice about anything P.C. related. This isn't because I'm a hardware or software genius. I started off with just the same knowledge levels as everone else - zero.

My own experience is that forums, particularly flightsim forums where the hardware efficiency is so critical, are ful of very knowledgeable, and by and large, helpful people.

In 6 years of PC ownership, I've never yet failed to get an answer to a question when I've had one.

Ok - you wade through the snide comments of the trolls sometimes, and it can take a while before someone with the knowledge actually responds to you, but you get there eventually.

These days I'm fortunate in rarely needing advice on settings and so on. Again, this isn't because I'm something special. It's mainly because I've kept a record of the advice where it's been useful and refer to it when necessary.

The only real advantage in paying someone for this kind of service is if you can't wait, and your problem is so major that it will take hours of one to one advice to sort it out.

If RAMSA is that good that he can guarentee to resolve te problem and is prepared to devote the time necessary to do that, then I'm sure he can make a living out of doing this.

Personally I wouldn't dream of charging for any advice I can give. It sticks in my throat somehow, but that's just me. If it's going to eat into time I haven't got, then perhaps, but otherwise you're welome to it and most people in the flightsim community feel the same.

I'm sure a lot of people here think I did this to be an @$$hole or something like that. Ya'll can call me a troll or anything you want I don't care.

Michael knows I ain't lying; he can post here right now denying what happened but he knows he'd be lying to himself. Like I said before I am not trying to turn anyone against Michael. I'm glad he helped a lot of this people that take up for him; that's cool.

If ya'll agree to make a deal with someone else and they take what you offer and don't give you what they are supposed to give you, I am pretty sure that you are not going to like that. That was what happened to me.

Am I suppose to sit back and read the original post and smile or something of that matter?

I don't think so.

I know for a fact that if this would've happened to ya'll and ya'll had the change to let it out in the open you would do so.

After all I should've know better than dealing with people I don't know specially when similar things have happened before, but I learned from my own mistakes. I know one thing for sure, I'M NOT making anymore deals with somebody I don't know.
