Here ya go:

The first one is of the Cascades - right over Mt Rainier - there is a plane in this one - just hard to spot.

...

This one is looking over the Wasatch down into Salt Lake City with the Great Salt Lake in the distance.

...

This one is the north end of the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles area)

...

And finally - over one of the Islands just off of Santa Barbara. Hmmmm  Anyone know why this one looks familiar?

...

The USA Mesh that is on this site.

I have flown many areas in many States that I am personally familiar with to compare. In some places it changes very little. MS got it close to right. But still some changes that gets it a little closer to reality

In others - radical changes.

For instance - Point Loma in San Diego is not a flat sandbar as MS depicts. The Mesh puts a hump on it. Still not entirely accurate - but a whole lot closer.

It is very accurate in most cases - as much so as can be in a game I guess.

Hi Oso...
I feel quite at home looking at those pictures... Grin...!
Very nice.... Wink...!
You are a bit high up in the air for me tho', I would be gasping for breath in my little T-Bird II or Fly Synthesis Storch microlights at that altitude... Shocked...!
LOL...!
The new scenery mesh of California certainly makes a nice area look even better.... Grin....!

Here are a few pics of my lovely baby Storch waiting to be re-fuelled....

..as you can see I prefer to be fairly close to the ground most of the time... Grin...!

...

...

...

Cheers...
