Well after seeing all the fabulous shots posted on here by some of the best "tweakers", I decided it was high time I tried to get a bit more out of my system.....
Lets see if you think these are ok now ?........I'm not up to Ramsa's quality shots yet, but I think these have been improved from my previous raw posts........
This first shot is how my graphics were before....the rest are after the tweak......
After overflying the apron and tower, I decided to take a run over by the beach and see how it looked....
Then back home by turning short final .........
And finally back to the shutdown area to cool down the big radial up front

Rifleman,
When you edit and cut down the shots. It's very hard to really judge your graphics.
Anti-aliasing appears to be not bad sort of medium but your ground textures and overall clarity which is in general the responsibility of your anisotropy settings and the settings in your Fs2002.cfg file just are not there in these shots.
The process that I go through with people who work with me is quite complex if you want to really learn about it than I'd be glad to discuss it with you.

I would never doubt your ability to bring more out of my system, but in my defense on these images,. I honestly haven't done any more than reduce the file size and image size from the screen I was running when I got the originals....I did however crop some to reduce distracting parts of the image......I would love to get to your level at any time.....my screenshots were taken at 1600x1200 and my reductions were in photoshop to minimize file size for posting on here.......I do however, see where you say my background textures are short....I give you credit for your knowledge of tweakin, but for me, its not my strength .....mine is more in image manipulation........thanks for the words......

I think what I was trying to say was that merely cutting a shot or editing it down is not really "tweaking" as you call it.
What I do is hardware and software enhancement only one of the programs that I use to do that is a quote unquote tweaking app and I don't need that either.
I recently did a machine for a prominent a/c designer who had a video card which was beyond old which wouldn't even support tweaking and we were able to achieve excellent results.

Maybe I was a bit unclear of my tweaks....I got the latest drivers for my video card.....then upon suggestions from a tweak website, I made changes and adjustments to the advanced properties of the card....also went to my bios and tried to make changes there, but have only so much leeway with my motherboard options........my shots are better now than they were before, but as you observed and made note of, they are not optimum.....any suggestions you have are welcomed with open ears.......

Nice shots of the Stearman Ken, if I were you I'd take Ramsa up on his offer. He is a tweaking God! Imagine what he can do for your screenshots....

No ATI I never overclock personally I see no reason to.
I firmly believe that overclocking is a very dangerous thing to do and can end up costing a lot for the little you gain.

I have try many conbinations of settings and can't see any improvment. I got a new Video Card, I increased my RAM and still no luck. Can you help this desperate simmer??
I'm running Windows XP 1.5 Pentium IV 1.0G RAM and NVIDIA TI 4200. If you prefer you can e-mail me at ivandeliz@aavirtual.com

The ability Ramsa has to get the best out of a graphics card is quite astounding. I currently use an ancient TNT2 ultra M64. The processor is nothing special in todays standards, just a 1.2ghz AMD Athlon.
Bearing in mind that this card has no antialiasing available, the normal users options are limited, unless however, you know what you are doing.
Ramsa spent some time going thru my system and has got the card now producing images i didnt think the TNT2 ultra was capable of. Just running the DXDIAG is quite fun to watch, that rotating cube with the logo...you know the one. It's spinning so damn fast its a complete blur.
Any way, the screenshot attached doesnt do justice to the tweaks Ramsa has made, but i thought i would stick it up anyways......Its was from 1600x1200 and now resides on my desktop......enjoy (thanks to Ramsa!!!)

This is a shot of mine which also was taken at 1600x1200 and only marginally cropped if at all, then reduced to fit the format of 800x600 posting size........if this can be improved by Ramsa, then I will be getting in touch with him as soon as I get some free time.........Thanks in advance for the expert help..... 8)

I too would be interested in hearing Ramsa's ideas for a system tweak.
I'm no expert, but I presume that for the majority of systems the tweaks will be similar?
If so, maybe a tuning guide for the "uninitiated" is a good idea?
It seems easier that consulting everyone on a person-to-person basis, even if the resulta aren't as high that way.
Ramsa, does this sound feasable to you?

Ric-Barker,
The idea is really not that good and I'll explain why.
As I said to Rifleman I don't do just tweaking I do system enhancement which just by the nature of the title implies that each system has to be tested and adjusted seperately.
This includes the need for me to transfer files to you that are my own creations and my own property that I don't necessarily wish to release in a general way at this time.
I am always willing to work on an individual basis with the people on this site so please contact me either through MSN Instant messenger or through my e-mail at ramsa329@msn.com.

Ken your shots look so much better now, well done and Trev, yours too look great.
Guys I can't stress enough that it is far better to work with ramsa on a one to one basis. Virtualy every system is set up different. When he worked with my settings, I first had to work on various parts of my operating system before I could even think about my graphics and FS2k2 settings. Even now I am not 100% happy but ramsa will still give advice when he has the time.
I guess what I am saying is that it would be easy to post a list of enhancements for the sim, but for many this would not give them the results they expected due to their individual systems and I would imagine that would be followed by "negative press". Surely it is better to have your own system tailored to get the best from it? Well I think so.
Just one persons thoughts, keep up the good work all
