I recently bought the Private Pilot Add-on for FS2000/2002 by Abacus but now find that the one plane I particularly wanted, ie the Cessna 152, although listed is not available since the subfolder "Model" is missing - on the complete production run of the CD it seems. Does anybody have this subfolder by any chance? Thanks

I haven't got it myself but I'd recommend e-mailing Abacus and asking them:

a) for the mdl file and

b) what they think they're playing at charging for, and releasing an incomplete CD.

I actually found that cd at the local software joint in the markdown rack.  How are the planes in it.  I am NOT a big abacus fan as far as their panel design and other addons go, but for 7.99 I could be troubled to buy this pack for the sheer number of planes.  Particularly, how are the panels included?

Just an interim reply to thank everybody for their input. Am away from home (and from my desktop) at the moment and shall get back to this issue once I have returned to base.

Stopped by the software place again (its only a block from the office) and I stand corrected.  The pack they have for sale looks to be a comco of the corp pilot and private pilot add-ons, all for fs 2002.  It says 23 planes in all and I saw all the AC's on those respective packs on the package.  It is selling for $20 . . . seems odd to get all the planes from two 29.95 addons for less than the price of one . .  anyone else seen this pack in stores.  I figure for less that a buck a plane its worth it.

It's always a matter of preference, but I trial downloaded almost all of the "premier1 aircraft collection and I wouldn't have paid $1 for the lot.

Just my own take on them though. Perhaps I'm over critical, but in every example where I had a freeware equivalent built from panels, aircraft and sounds, without exception it was better than their payware version.

I did end up picking up the pack for $20 as I figured it would offer a bit of flight sim inspiration.  Its basically all the planes from corp pilot, private pilot, and skyranch.  A couple of the planes are worth $1.00 and even $2.00 a piece (the pilatus, the 310 from priv pilot, the vtail bonanza) but WOW are some of them awful.  The skyranch planes don't look like anyone updated them since fs5.  The fact that abacus still sells corp and private for 29.95 each on their website baffles me!  how does this co stay in business with such terribly inferior product.  I know they made $20 off of me, and I don't feel ripped off, but if i paid the website retail of $70+ for these planes I would be livid.

www.carenado.com puts out a great Cessna 152.  They are both free!  One with wheel pants and one without.  They do not have a VC, but the models are great and the interior panels look great also.

Also a Piper Tomahawk you can download for free.  Same thing, looks great....
