Does anyone know if products such as Memory Turbo actually work(stop lock-ups, faster performance, etc.) or if they are just rip-offs? Thanks in advance.

I got the package BNW. Memory Turbo and Net Turbo.
You can get TCPOptimiser and it does the same thing as Net Turbo but TCPOptimiser is FREE.  Grin http://www.speedquide.net   Now in the advertisement, it will lead you to believe it is only for broadband, but it has the 56k modem set-up too. Basically it eliminates bottlenecks in your system for better data transfer.

Memory Turbo is worth getting IMHO. It recovers RAM not in use and returns it to the pool. Just like doing a reboot really, but you don't have to reboot. There are settings you can easily configure so it will do it automatically. If you are one of those that have 1g of RAM, then don't bother. But if you are like many of us and still on older machines with limited RAM, get it!! Well worth the cost. I love it and have had no problems with it running on Windows ME. I highly recommend this little program. It's one of those that delivers what it says.
