Sadis there any way in which to turn on the AP in FS2002 without the wing level coming on?  All i want is the altitude?  I might just be plain stupid, but i need to know. Grin

It can be turned off, by adding the following lines the the aircraft.cfg file:

use_no_default_pitch = 1 // 0 = Default to current pitch mode, 1 = No default pitch mode.
use_no_default_bank = 1 // 0 = Default to Wing Leveler mode, 1 = No default bank mode.

Add these two lines to the autopilot section on the .cfg file, and wing leveler will be turn off, and you can turn the plane.

Grin Yes there is.  FS2000 had in the form of single axis AP, FS2002 has 2 axis AP,  Go to Microsoft base article 312460 and they will explain how to do it.  If you have a problem, let me know and I will attempt to post it.  I use it all the time

Your question was answered before my post went through.  I might add you must do this for each aircraft you want to use it on and remember to "SAVE" the change.
