EmbarrassedKnowing how my 'upgrade' from Win98 to WinXp went (Microsoft:  "No, stupid, nothing you had will work now--controller software can't be reloaded, video card is doggo, everything will run at half speed with poor detail and there's NOTHING you can do about it--NOTHING!  BEHEHEHEHE!") I feel for anyone that tries this.
Go back to whence you came, young sir!  XP is great with a new hotrod computer--but it just doesn't improve a well-working Win98 machine.  Chalk up another one for Microsoft.

Yes Sir. I remember when the XP Upgrade came out. Man the flood of posts for HELP were something else.  How do you upgrade from an older Operating System to something COMPLETELY different. And I mean XP is completely different from Win98. Personally, I will never "Upgrade" an Operating system.

Whether this is the problem with comm1's crashes is only a guess. It could be a conflict between the Nav. Panel and the acft. he put it in. Don't know. Heavily lean toward the XP upgrade though.

But I do know that his upgrade is going to cause problems elsewhere. Either he should go back to Win98 or clean his HD and do a complete XP install.

Me, I am sticking with ME!!
