Hey
I've been working on the bitmap for an electrics panel to add to the default 737 (or anyone that wants to use it.) Its photo-real (i made it with a scale diagram as the bottom layer.) If anyone would like to help, I would appreciate it. I am extremely new at this, but have a pretty good understanding of how the gauges work, or at least xml gauges cus they're easy. If anyone is interested please email me at maxman732@aol.com. Here's the panel without the gauges yet:

p.s. when you get the temporarily unavailable page, just click in the address bar and press enter. Or you can just copy and paste the link because this linking system doesn't work that well
thanks

I tried to get to your page, too. Wouldn't work.
What panel edit software are you using? FS Panel Studio? Are you making this as an additional window for the panel?

hey thanks bman,
I have made a lot of progress on the panel and it doesn't look as 2-D anymore. I'm using CFG Edit and Photoshop, and definitely looking for someone to help with the gauges (I've basically been repainting default ones).
thanks

sounds great
gauge designing is a very very hard thing, that i am afraid is beyond my capabilities. it requires knowledge of pretty advanced programing, and not many people can do it.
you might want to ask chuck dome if he can help, he is a very very talented designer, a very nice man, and has full knowledge of how to design gauges. you can email him by clicking
here

Don't want to put a damper on things but personally I'm not too convinced of the popularity of sub-panels like this one.
During my monster US download session I got the Dash 8 panel by Oleksiy Frolov which is sooo realistic and has a multiplicity of sub panels.
It comes with a 10 page manual that you have to read before you can take off and it takes about an hour to config the aircraft for take off. Half of the things he mentions you can't find on the panels because there is so much small detail (and I've got a high res 19 inch monitor) and then you crash because you've missed something. I haven't bothered with it since.
Basically having to bring up sub-panels over the main panel is not realistic and I find it adds very little (actually nothing) to the simming experience. Sorry
