I assume this is added scenery. Open w/dows explorer and work your way to fs2002 scenery cfg and scroll down to see which scenery it is. Have you activated it in the game scenery library files (add area , etc)

Go to the scenery.cfg file in the FS2k2 root directory, and open in notepad. Scroll down and make certain the entry reads;
[Area.121]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=121
Required=FALSE
Remote=

Then save and restart. The add-on scenery that you overwrote onto this should be numbered further down the list, do it by hand.

Smiley I constantly get these scenery error messages also.  I just click OK and continue.  Never caused a problem so far.

Where is it written?

OK... Me too...

Right below the [Area 121] lines, which are exactly as Ozzy describes, is the following:

[Cache.000]
Title=Default Texture Cache
Local=texture
Remote=scenedb\texture
Active=FALSE  <--------------------Should this be "TRUE"?

In the Scenery Library, the "Cache Scenery" box is unchecked, because I'm using it directly.

I still get the "121" error, though.

False is correct.

Could you post the part of your scenery.cfg file for  [Area 121] please?

Did you by any chance delete the FS2002\ADDON SCENERY\Scenery folder?
Try this. Go into the Scenery Library & deactivate it.

Here's that portion of the .cfg file, Tipster:

[Area.121]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Active=TRUE
Layer=121
Required=FALSE
Remote=

Tried what you said, Hagar, but no change.

What's weird is my addon scenery is there and activated. But, when I select it, I remain at my current location. Example: Start on runway at KEDW, click "Go To Airport" and select my new scenery, (One of the ArrCabAllv3 carriers), but it never changes to the new scenery. I had this problem a long time ago, but I fixed it. Now I can't remember what the heck I did.  Tongue

I had version 2 running great, with no problems. But, I thought I'd get v3, just in case, for some reason it went away. I followed the Install ReadMe, which is clear on what to do.
I'm just stuck.

I think we all agree that [Area.121] is the FS2002\ADDON SCENERY folder itself. My Scenery.cfg is exactly the same as in your example. The ADDON SCENERY folder has its own SCENERY & TEXTURE subfolders & is activated by default when FS2002 is first installed. I can find no reference to this in FS2002 Help but suspect it was originally intended for testing your own scenery created with Gmax. Installing files to these subdirectories would avoid having to activate it from the Scenery Library.

My advice would be not to use these default Scenery & Texture subdirectories for installing any scenery at all. Use separate & properly configured folders with their own Scenery & Texture subfolders for all addon scenery. The Addon Scenery folder can then be deactivated from the Scenery Library.

To find a conflict, the best suggestion I can make is to deactivate each scenery area in turn from the Scenery Library until you find the culprit. Start with those ArrCab carriers as they seem the most likely suspects. This might take a while depending how much 3rd party scenery you have installed & providing you activated it all via the Scenery Library.

Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

Dumb-ass me.......

All that scenery resides in MSGames/FS2002/ADDON SCENERY/ their individual folders, only. Each folder was activated individually, per the Install.txt.

Still get the error, but All scenery works fine.
ArrCab.dat recognizes all 18 carriers and land based practice cables, too. All 100% functional.

'scuse me. Gotta go play on da boats.

Thanks, guys.
