Landing tyre smoke..... (Read 198 times)

Hello people.

Please could someone agive me some advice about adjusting the tyre smoke effect in FS2002.  I have downloaded a couple of very nice twin prop planes recently. The models are beautiful and the flight dynamics escellent. But there is one very annoying thing when landing. When you finally touch down, no matter how light it is, plumes and plumes of thick black smoke billow off the tarmack, the kind you'd expect to see off a 747 fully loaded with fuel at about 200kts touch down!!

How do you adjust this effect to lessen the amount of smoke (ideally making it similar to the default Beech Baron etc.)?? I obviously would like to keep the large smoke plumes for the heavies so don't want to replace this effect.

Thanks in anticiaption.

Hi Jeremy, in the file of each aircraft is a file called aircraft.cfg
Open it in notepad and find a line touchdown=fx_tchdwn, 1
Change it to this and you should be sorted touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1
