How one can make a full gate departure instead of always begin the flight directly on the runway ? Is there a special thing to activate in FS 2002 for this ?  ???

Thx

Choose "Create a flight" from the start menu.

The final option defaults to "active runway".  Change this to the gate location you want.

If you use an IFR flight plan, FS will start you on the active runway.  FSUIPC has an option that will let you change this.  If you don't have FSUIPC get it.  It is a mandatory addon.

If you want a "cold and dark" cockpit, just turn everything off and save the flight at that point.  Or there are several (free) versions of a "cold and dark" gauge that will let you do this.

when selecting where you take off from there is the option that says active runway, click on that and it will give you a list of differant options, choose which gate and then start flight, then in flight you can save it as the default flight so you start there each time
