I hear some rumblings about it being easy to get my little Kobra into, or onto a carrier, but I see no evidence of the source of those comments taking a run at this.
Well in response I guess I needed to try a different vehicle, so I took a different one, and a feederliner at that, which just fits through the hangar deck doors.............believe me it was tough and not done on one try only...... taxed me to a few go-arounds.
Getting on the deck wasn't all that hard though, compared to trying to get into the hangar deck.........whew!

And if that's not good enough, try this heavyweight thing....it feels like it has no brakes at all............that was a hard one too, which took more than one attempt......

If I could get good frame rates at that carrier then i would try it.
If anyone knows of an out of the way carrier for me to prove that its easy then i am all ears.
Now let me get this right Rifleman. Are you landing on the hanger deck? or taxing down there after landing on the main deck?
P.s. Anything is possible in a tigermoth!

Hey Woody if there is a way to taxi to the hangar deck , then I still have yet to find it....if you happen to cross the lines and get on the elevator, you will get a one way trip to the drink.....tried that route first.......I landed the TigerMoth and the 1900 in the hangar deck. I always take a run at the full flight deck first, then if thats OK, I try the angled flight deck and when that one works, I try the hangar deck.........believe me when I tell you, that Moth is either real heavy or has brakes lined with grease, rather than asbestos........the 1900 has turbo props and should be able to go into reverse pitch, but I never used it....just had the approach speed around 90 kts and put the wheels on the edge of the deck to make use of the full length in the hangar...
... if you want to try this carrier, its off the coast of San Diego and is visible from shore
