Hi all, I have very much enjoyed doing full auto ILS landings near perfect centreline touchdowns, however last night I did a flight from Kuala Lumpa to Changi, and the aircraft touched down, about 50 to 100 metres short of the runway.
Is this normal, or is it a fault somewhere?

Thanks again...Tomcat61

Usually pilots will let the AP fly the ILS and then manually flare and touchdown

It tried to land me about a mile short at Casco Cove Alaska. That's why airplanes aren't totally automatic. Even the best AP doesn't always work perfectly so it's always best to keep a pilot in the loop for when they don't.

Check to make sure you have the correct air speed and 15 -20% fuer and corr.ect degrees of flaps deployed.
