Latest news is that the Baghdad International Airport is under new management, the U.S. ARMY!! Its reported they'll protect it from Mayor Daly (to prevent him from plowing up the runways!).
The new owners will have the airport up and running ASAP to bring in aide and supplies to the people of Baghdad.

Apparently its the 3rd Division, not the USMC.
I heard tell that if the runways got cratered with mortar fire they were going to rename it the "Mayor Daley International".

PS. This is aviation news, sort of, not pure war stuff, so no turning this into a flamewar please.
PPS. If anyone has any really good jokes about a certain resident of Chicago, could they please post them too me. Thanks

No worries Andrew, many years ago it was Baghdad International, and now it is again, but in the intervening period it got renamed by you-know-who, after himself, like most dictators they have egos the size of battlecruisers, and everything is named after them!
