WHEN I FLY IN THE CAMPAIGNS, I NEVER SEE THE BRITS IN THS SKY, AND I ONLY SEE THEM ON THE GROUND. I ONLY SEE THE GERMANS & US PLANES IN THE SKY. DO I HAVE TO PLAY AT A DIFFERNT LEVEL TO SEE THE BRITS OR WHAT?

I rarely see American Aircraft in my campaigns. I think this is just a thing with the game. Of course I rarely see German aircraft either, that's cause I killed em all.  Grin

Just a wild idea, but do you think, that between the U.S. version and the European version of CFS3, MS altered the allied aircraft you'ld meet in flight?

Possibly. I mainly fly Spitfires, so I see lots of British aircraft, and not to many American ones....

I don't think it matters which version you have but what campaign you are playing. I have the American version and rarely see American aircraft while playing for Britain.

I'm fine not seeing american aircraft. It means that they can't shoot me down by mistake!!! Grin

I was flying a typhoon mission today (7/4/03) and we were jumped by some BF 109's.  The Spitfire escort joined in and so did some P 47's that happened to be flying past.  So I guess they do help out occasionaly.

I agree with OZZY , I rarely see the US planes, except when some lesser mind jumps in a MushdTank thinking it'll out maneuver my Spitfire"Profane"Mk IXc , and ends up a flaming hole in a hill ! occaisionally some P74's come by  in the missions, but they stay clear of my flight, as they must have warm beer waiting for them somewhere.

Well today I was doing a fighter sweep over normandy and I made contact with a formation of 109's. And lo and behold a formation of P51's joined in. And not just any P51 squadron either it was the 352ndFG. How joyful I was having my favorite american fighter group in the same scrap as me.

Anyway, they wern't much help as it was. I think I got 2 of them and my wingmen got the other 2 so it was just moral support really... Grin

Don't say too much. I've flown as a british pilot and have been shot down quite a few times by other british pilots. I've never been shot down by an American ally before Grin

I've got to October '43 in my brit campaign, april '43 in my german campaign, and the 3rd day of my US campaign,.
Cant say the RAF sucks seeing how far ive got with the others, but ive had to bail out 3 times from friendly fire, and died 20 times from my own bombs Grin
The only friendly aircraft i ever see are P-47, appart from a pair of mosquitos.

Well it's happened. Once I got jumped by a jerry who tried to shoot me down. I called for help and when my fellow spit pilots got behind the jerry who was behind me, they started shooting and shot me down instead  Angry Roll Eyes

The same thing happened on an anti shipping mission. I was doing a low strafing run at a ship when another british pilot dropped a bomb on the ship, needless to say, the explosion ruined my aircraft Undecided

On another antishipping mission, I was doing a strafing run on a ship when another aircraft above me tried to get a shot at the ship also, but He got me instead Sad
