Here's my first attempt at editing a picture using photoshop. What we have here is a Tiger Moth with a serious engine fire and trailing black smoke somewhere above London as the pilot tries to get the aircraft clear of the populated area before bailing out:

I agree the smoke could be improved and welcome suggestions.

Hi Don, nice work. I hope you don't mind that I "borrowed" your pic to demonstrate this. If you are using Photoshop, there are 2 effects I found work well with Fire and explosions. First, use the effect called "Lense Flare" at about 35% and insert it where the "explosion" is. Then use the "Smudge" and/or "Blur" effect to pull away from the fire. This is only my suggestion, otherwise it looks real.

No not at all, I like what you've done.  I was watching the Mummy last night and would love to recreate the giant sandstorm "face" chasing the heroes in their plane using FS2K and photoshop.
