[glb]Hello Everyone[/glb]

Does anyone know how to say "Requesting emergency Landing" or anything equivelent when talking to ATC? I would like to practice emergency Landings on FS 2002 PRO. Is there anything to download for it?

Cheers

Best thing to do is to cancel talking with ATC and choose your spot for an emergency landing.  You can then go through the emergency proceedures on your own.  Don't forget your sqawk code of 7700.

You can't declare an emergency landing in FS2002.

Changing sqawk codes isn't advisiable, seeing as ATC will ask you to change it... or moan at you if you change it from what they've told you.
I know you can ask for an airport diversion in COF, but I wonder if they will let you change to the emergency squawk codes and perfrom emergency landings?

maccers,
I was joking about changing the transponder codes....

There is no way to perform a fully functional, interactive, ATC assisted emergency situation.  You are able to have engine and equipement failures.  If you do have a failure FS ATC doesn't give a spit what your problems are.  All they want to do is move planes to their destination.

You can change the transponder code, but you are right, ATC will gripe at you untill you change it back.  At this point it is best to cancel ATC.
