I really tried to go back in time through all the past posts because I am sure this has been asked before.  But after starting in Feb 02 and going through 3 or 4 months I couldn't find an answer.  After downloading literally 100+ aircraft I am trying to narrow them down to a handful of "must haves".  I don't want to miss any that I haven't found, what would you suggest?

Flaps, it depends what you like as to how much use the answers will be. I like classic fighters and aerobatic  aircraft, but I also have a number of helicopters, strange things and heavies I've downloaded and enjoyed too.
My advice write down a list planes you like, or the kind of flying you enjoy, and then look for things that fulfil these requirements.

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Go through the top twenty as suggested, then go through the list of downloads one by one and pick out the addons that you think are cool.  There are a lot of sites that have some great stuff, check them all out.  And when your hard drive is full, go out and buy another one and fill that up.  All I am saying is there is some great stuff out there.  No one could list the best without missing something.....
