Does anyone here use Jane's F/A-18 Sim? If so could some one help me out with some of the weapons systems? I've read the lengthy manual cover to cover and still can't figure out how I set the coordinates or even just set a target for JDAM's and GPS guided bombs. It seems impossible. Thanks.

This is the FS2002 section, not Jane's F/A-18, please post this topic in the Software forum.

Although I can help you with it. When in the AG mode, go to the SMS and choose JDAM or any other GPS bomb, and after you choose it look to the left side of the screen and press TGT. Now on the left side will be two arrow keys, use them to choose a prebriefed target, (target must be stationary and must be identifyed in the briefing before the flight) after you choose your target you will see a symbol on the HUD marking the target, and on the right side should be some numbers clicking down, these are your time to release numbers. When all the numbers are gone and it says IN ZONE, you can release your bomb. Then just sit back and watch. Here's a tip, the higher you are, the farther away you can drop your bomb, the lower you are, the closer you have to get to a target.

I have the F/A-18 Sim by Janes, when you have a JDAM
bomb, switch to air to ground mode select a JDAM bomb
and on your right Multi-Functions Display press enter on the target you want to destroy. Once you press enter go
to the left Multi-Functions Display press the tgt (target) button, then press the up button, which is also on the left Multi-Functions Display, once you do this info will appear both on the HUD and on the left Multi-Funtions
Display, their will be a timer and once the info on the HUD indicates "in rng (in range)" let the bombs fly.

P.s. Let me know if it worked out, if you have anymore questions about weapons systems such as LGBs just let me know, also use the NAV pod, and or TGT pod.  cya!!
