Just a quick beer delivery to the hard working lads in the gold mines. Wewak to Telefomin via the Lost World.

"This is gonna cost you!" I said on the phone.

Well after a couple of those big bottles of XXXX heavy, I was feeling like a bit of fun.

...

Weeeeeeeeee !!!!!

...

Now, where is that strip. (seems I'd neglected to  navigate on this jaunt.............)

...

Telefomin isn't much more than a Bush strip, down we go baby!

...

I guess I'll be buying!   Grin

Seems that not only did you take a jaunt through the Lost World, you smashed yourself right into the Next One! Grin

Watch those landing speeds!  Might hurt a little . . .

Cherokee, my bet is that it is this one for FS2000-

Hey Congo!  Do you have the Lost World airports?  If so, how did you overcome the missing scenery files (the buildings are all from CFS2)?

Okay, fine, you're right.  The one used in the shots is yours (I just flew the one I posted).  Although I have to make a point.

For some, taking up many tens of megs for a single a/c is not a viable option--many just don't have the room, but for those who do, more power to ya!

I personally can't convince myself to download that B1-B.  My FS is on a different computer, which is a stand-alone (my dad is a freak) and so any a/c that I download must be either below 1.25 Mb to fit on a single 3.5 diskette, or I must take apart the files and manually add them together into seperate zip files and then transfer them over, then recombine on the other computer.  I have asked my dad repeatedly if he would let me network, and the answer is always a flat no.  Oh, well . . .

Hey!

I have downloaded the B1 successfuly but I cannot get her off the ground!!!

I cant seem to get enough speed.
What am I missing? I have full throttle on but it just slowly builds up speed...

Cherokee,

I am assuming you have read the manual.........lol
There is a support page on our website that will answer all of your questions regarding the B-1.
But to get you going..........to engage the afterburners.....press Shift + F4.
Flaps......for take off. press F8 to fully extend the flaps then press F6 to pull them in a notch.
Trim the tailerons a tad to aid in lift.
release brakes and she should accelerate slowly, remember, this is a big mutha of a bird, its not a cessna.
At about 160kts, start to rotate, she will climb like a swan......

Hope this helps

I would have to agree. I did DL the B-1b and its great, however, making a "stripped down" version is not a bad idea. Eye candy is great, but making a plane for those that just want to fly and dont care about a VC, or what the passenger cabin looks like, or a working bomb bay in a game that there is no need A good example of this would be the family of Meljets. His planes look awesome, but for me, I could care less about seeing the toliet or the seating. When I modified the B-52 into the EB-52, I removed most of the interior stuff. This improved the framerate a great deal. The B-1b is a great addition and its not a bad fps killer for me, but a "lite" version would be cool also.
