I've just finished some nightshifts and I'm suffering from insane levels of insomnia. It's 3.00 AM, I'm at work at 7.00 AM and I can't sleep.
I set the date on fs2k2 to 10.30AM, 17th December 1903.
I find the nearest airport to where the Wright brothers first flew and went looking.........
To check whether this was here all the time I reset the date to 26th March 2003 and hit printscreen immediately.......
IT'S GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Un-bleedin' believable.
Take off KFFA at 10.30, 17th december 1903 with all settings at max and you will see I haven't cheated.
Will
Who switched the lights off? I can't see a thing....... Hold on, my eyes were closed. Oops, my bad...............&&

October 14, 1947 reached Mach 1.06, 700 mph, at an altitude of 43,000 feet, over the Mojave Desert near Muroc Dry Lake, California for the X-1 under the command of Chuck Yeager.
And the Hindenburg was May 6, 1937 at NAS Lakehurst when it spontaneously combusted....
Interesting discovery Will, wonder what Orville and Wilbur would have said if you'd really landed next to them in a Harrier, probably **** me!

That's funny Ozzy! 8)
I wonder if they'd be pissed off after it blew over ...
Could have told them You were Germans testin' a new rig out LOL!
I guess it required a different approach to the old problem of flight when you look at how the harrier solved it. Poor Wilbur!

I was sure that this wasn't spontaneous combustion, in fact I thought they had movie film evidence of a static discharge running along the length of the upper surface , as the Hindenburg was approaching ?.......anyone seen the talkies on it lately ?

Nice one Smoke. Next time you can't sleep maybe something equally amazing will turn up.
As for the Hindenburg, I've seen many theories for the disaster over the years including sabotage. I think this is the most recent explanation.

I wonder if the early pioneering aviators realised how in so many ways, their inventions would affect the future generations?
