I was just thinking how interesting it is that in aviation design seems to pass from one generation to the next.

These two while very different share some design success even though seperated by many years.

Thanks for your replies,

I use a special program for night lighting that I downloaded I think it's from FSW.

Ozzy and everyone else,

I haven't got the slightest clue how to do splashscreens so.......... please feel free to make splashscreens from any shots that you like or tell me what to do.

I went and downloaded this set of night-textures after seeing this thread, but when I loaded them up, there were bright tracers that leapt from the light sources and wouldn't go away.  This didn't happen for all lights, just some.

Is there some way to fix this problem?  If not, then I am going to have to revert back to default textures. Cry Which would be a pity, the new ones are spectacular.

I don't know exactly what could be causing your problem.

Try changing your screen resolution in the sim and see if that helps.

It might also be a corrupt install try again making sure you're not running any anti-virus etc............

Those textures should work perfectly.

I fixed it!

I turned up the screen resolution to 1024x768 and turned all the scenery settings all the way up.  The lights are now awesome! Shocked

I also checked the fps just for good measure and was a little surprised: 50 fps.  What is the usual rate?

50 FPS is awesome with all sliders up.  Cheesy

Nice shots Ramsa, gettin those night textures now!

I read about the development of the B58 Hustler a while ago, Wow, what a long story!

Here is another awesome article.... With Pictures!

http://www.aviation-history.com/convair/b58.html

A major difference in the two aircraft, despite thier similar roles, is the B-58's outright performance.

1321 mph @ 65,000 ft with an 85,000 ft height record.

The B 58 pioneered some pretty impressive navigation equipment and was fitted with an automatic, radar guided cannon in it's tailpod, I guess for those pesky Migs should one manage to keep up.   Wink
