Hey ya'll,

Just wanted to know where the best place to go for online play is and if it's possible to simply sit in to a flight and watch someone else pilot an aircraft- kind've like a passenger/spectator?  Thanks.

Steve, most people hang at vatsim.net. Its free, you'll need to download a couple of programs to fly in a session there. But everyone is really friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of tutorials.

Yiu can also find flights on the trade IP board ( which is acessable from this site) you wont need any extra downloads or software.
there are also several Virtual airlines or clubs out there that have people willing to help and instruct newcomers
try the virtual united states air forces www.vusafs.com

I highly recommend VATSIM. I have not flown in over 3 weeks, sad but it is great. The ATC is very friendly as long as you follow the rules. Also, be ready to learn!
