This is the shakedown cruise of the HMS Oberon Diesel submarine.I don't know how close to the real thing it is because it is very hard to find good sub line drawings.Anyway I hope you like the pics.

i think that they made it so that as the flaps extend (or maybe it is spoiler) the sub textures lower and there is no contact point or anything that will go down. but then u still have the wake, dont ask me how they got rid of that
