trouble with approach auto pilot (Read 242 times)

Having trouble with the approach auto pilot switch...everything is lined up, plane starts to drop altitude, but I always end up short of the runway? What am I doing wrong???

It could be a couple of things.  First, your approach speed might be to low.  A good approach is a perfect relationship between airspeed and vertical speed.  Also, just go manual at the end of your approach.   If you can't see the runway do to weather at the MDA you have to go around anyways.

what is agood speed can u tell me everything for a good approach, vor and ils on big planes is to cunfusing

It isn't easy to say what is a good approach speed when you haven't specified a special aircraft. Sppes can approach very much from plane to plane
