When I took off from San Fransisco early in the evening the other night, noticed an interesting structure below me. Don't recall but was this the tower or an observation area? Fozzer, since you're the San Fransisco Flyer, any input ??

Looks exactly like LAX to me. Mind you it has been a couple of decades since I lived there, they might have erected another equally stupid looking building.... Clever to make, but silly looking.

Yeah, that is KLAX. Just take off heading West and this structure is on your Left to the North.
I found this pic in the same folder later. Looks like some kind of "Outer Space Fast Food Burger Spaceplex" place ! I actually think I just saw Fozzer in that window!!
I'm gettin' kinda' hungry. Think I'll turn around and get me somethin' to eat at the "Fly-Thru". Maybe a "Triple Seven Cheesburger!!!

Hey Bman, is it true as part of the CIAs on-going war on terrorism that they are going to arrest the guy that invented airline lunches?

Hi Fozzer. Looks like that building only has the "purple effect" if your time of day is set to Dusk.
Here is a TWA 777 "just before dusk" with the "Eat Em" Up Spaceplex" in the foreground! LOL

The pilot in that plane looks alittle like you. Is he ??
Thanks Bman for the pic comment.
Redsunfox, the scenery is default FS2k2 Pro.
Just set time of day at dusk and you'll see Rifleman picking up our food orders and scaring the cooks!!!
Oh by the way Ken, the air traffic controllers want you off their radar screens, you are confusing them! Thought I saw you flying here yestreday. LOL

This scenery is standard in FS 2002....after seeing it posted by Fly2e I had to see if they had a food pickup window.............and as for the Rifleman thing, I have always used the nickname since I was told in highschool, that I had a resemblance to the man ( Chuck C)

Indeed, that pilot is me.....I got in just before the plane left the ground.....I feel its easier that way.....it was just after the paint dried when I did my colour scheme to match one of my R/C planes............
This was not intended to be a way of scaring the cooks, I was merely helping to see that breakfast had some real " Scrambled " eggs ready to serve.............
I guess the only way I can put the ATC at ease is if I fly lower to keep off their radar screens.........OH WELL ! 8)
Tower...........this is Ghostrider,...requesting a flypast ?....

The silliest thing is that it's just a name & not a French product at all. I don't think "french fries" were ever served in France except maybe in McDonalds if they have any. They usually go for much more exotic types of food. We traditionally call them chips as in fish 'n' chips in the UK.

good one Hagar.....I am like you on that, as I have always wondered why chips from "fish and chips" changed their name when not served with fish......they also have fish and chips on this side of the Atlantic but somewhere, the old name has gone astray ? ???

Sorry RedSun, I have no ties with Bill which could get me inside the Gates and bring info to you on the San Fran scenery......but since I spent some time at LAX, I decided to take in more of the area.....but just before departing to view a well known venue, I sat on the taxi-way and considered one last pass from right where I was sitting...........
Here I am just pondering ???....hmmm, one more time ?
And after a very long deliberation of about two seconds.........What the Hell ! 8)

I had almost forgotten about this place which has been such a sports palace in the LA area for so long....... and knowing that, I also know how hard it is to get into the stadium if you miss the ticket man.......all you need to do is take a hop over the tail-gate parties and bring it in through the arch under the official name.....Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum..............works for me .....

Hagar, I wondered if you thought I was outside the A/C when I flew this little soujourn, but I can assure you, I was in the cockpit for this flying and only got out to take the pictures......what a trick, to get out and shoot pictures in mid-flight.......I love the concept ......... 8)
