Anyone give anythought of doing a Supermarine "Walrus" seaplane for FS2K2? I'm building a model of one and it's one butt ugly pusher prop biplane. A freind said these things were carried as the observation planes on British Battlewagons back in WW2 and I think it would be neat to be able to fly one in the sim. Grin

Hi Cub. The Walrus was actually an amphibian & used in many roles. A Walrus air/sea rescue unit was based at Shoreham, my local airport, during WWII. In one famous episode one landed close to the French coast to pick up a ditched B-17 crew. It was well overloaded so could not take off again & taxyed all the way back home. This took several hours. Yes, it was an ugly old bird & it's difficult to believe it came from the same company as the Spitfire.

The GC boys were working on a CFS2 version at one time but it's no longer mentioned on their site. http://www.groundcrewdesign.com/news.htm
