They can vary, as you zoom in and out. I think they are set at default as 20, 10 and 5 miles.

XTK is Cross Track Error. Basically, the distance from the intended track (not heading) in GPS. In other words, how far off course you are.

Roger that,,, might as well just use [Alt] "Go to Airport" on the top tool bar
Try setting visibilty to 1 mile and use the intersection of 2 VOR's (no DME) as the point to turn runway heading and start a timed descent,,, to dirt strip
