I've installed FS2002 again, and although she's acting better now, I'm still having a few problems, all I suspect can be solved. First off, a problem I posted before. In my initial installation of FS2002. I had a good density of trees and buildings, but upon installinging this time, there seems to be very little trees around. Is this one solveable?
Now my display problems. In panel view, the 2D panel stays normal, but after about 2 seconds it gets a pink haze, only over the panel though. The 3D world beyond remains unaffected. As seen above, my mouse reacts strangely too. I must click for the pointer to show up over any 3D representation, but over anything 2D (such as the aircraft selection screen) the mouse acts normally. Also, wherever I move the mouse, it leaves little boxes of wierd graphics, which only disappear when I click or a new one shows up (this happened in CFS3 too). Finally, whenever I go into tower view, the horizon stays as whatever the previous view looked like. As always, if any elaboration is needed, I shall provide and any help is appreciated.

Hi Scorpion,
First - the trees. The first thing that comes to mind is your autogen density setting in Settings. The higher it is, the more trees you get as well as buildings. Maybe it's on a different setting than before?
As to the display problems, they bear all the hallmarks of a graphics driver problem. Was it just FS2002 you re-installed or had you re-installed your operating system beforehand?
System specs would also be a help here.

Scorpion, long time no see. John is right on adjusting the settings to increase the eye candy. As for the other problems, have you got the latest drivers for your card, and directX v9? Its available from M$ and should help with a few graphics problems.
Also how much RAM have you got and what OS and processor are you running?

Sometimes that will happen to me also, but shutting FS2002 down and restarting it usually fixes it, failing that, a full re-boot

Tipster, I'll update my video drivers and see what happens, I just have what came on the CD. Ozzy, this is mostly because Medal of Honor and Command and Conquer have kidnapped me away from the Flight Sim world!

I've updated my video drivers, and still have the problems. They're not as bad now. The mouse just flickers, and likewise with the boxes. Those don't bother me so much. It's the horizon dealie that's pestering me. I'll post a screenie in a bit.

Scorpion, have you checked your anti-aliasing settings both in FS2k2, and possibly a jumper on your graphics card? It could be a conflict between the two.

Jumper? Does that require cracking her open again?
