I'm very much a novice to flight sims and I have a question about video cards. Currently I have a 64MB DDR GEFORCE4 TI 4200, with 2.66GHZ and 512MB of RDRam. I'm averaging roughly 65-70 fpm. I notice that many users have the top of line cards (i.e. Radeon 9700). Would it do me any good to upgrade to a card of that level or would I not notice a major difference in quality/performance.

Also, I have the fpm capped at 75....Should I increase it, make unlimited, etc.. anyway advice would be great.

Mark those are good framerates (if you mean frames per second). I would suggest being happy with what you have and spend the money is something else, maybe beer!
Sounds like you have a very nice system indeed, and an upgrade isn't necessary at all. You can try increasing the framerate in the game however to see if things are getting better. 30FPS is a good target figure, films and TV run at about 25FPS.

Mark - Ozzy's given you good advice there.

You have frame rates far above what most people who run FS2002 experience.

Whilst they might improve (slightly) with a graphics card update, the improvement would be purely mathematical. You wouldn't be able to see the difference.
