I am dying to repaint my C182RG! The tutorial on grumpy's lair is for Photoshop 4 but i guess it uses the same basics. Just the part for mirroring is where you will get stuck. If anyone here knows how to, please help a guy in need

Follow his instructions CAREFULLY! If you don't you'll FUBAR the texture.

Enjoy!

Well... all you have to do is go under edit/transform/flip horozontaly or verticaly and that should do the trick  Wink

P.S was the tutorial on grumys layer you were refering to mine?  Roll Eyes and hey... adobie photoshop 5.5 may be old but it does the trick Grin

BTW I know my tut is not the best so bare with me (it was originaly posted on these forums) and I have sence then refined my techniques Grin

Here is a picture of the textures I am working on in my trusty Adobie Photoshop 5.5 Grin 8) (painted from scratch by ME)

...

P.S I think it is definatly worth the long hours to learn Photoshop. even though you might not become outstanding over night, and it may be harder to use than a $35 doller program, but once I learned it, I found that it has a much higher potential than any other graphic arts program. (and this is speaking just of my old 5.5)

First, you need to get DXTbmp. Search for it on google. When you get it,(it is free), open up the dds file that has your airplane's name and ends with_1_T Open that up and flip it either up or sideways. Set the painter in the right to photoshop. Flip the image up or sideways while still in DXTbmp. Export the image to photoshop. Do your repaint and save it. Go back to Dxtbmp and refresh the image. Now, when you flipped it, do it backwards or in reverse. SaVE IT in your airplanes folder, and there you go.

Looks like you're a good 6 years late on the reply! Grin
