I have been playing for about 3 days now... Although I am not a pilot in real life yet.. I have finished ground school and logged a few hours.. anyhow.. the game is great.. however (i always fly on full realism) , and oftentimes I am finding my aircraft overstressed for no apparent reason.. yes.. it is usually during some nutter attempt however.. even times when i KNOW the real aircraft can pull it off.. i overstress it.. any ideas?

Hi WattsJohn,
If we assume that your flight manouvers are indeed representative of what a real cessna can do, it's safe to assume that the aircraft.cfg and .air files contain innacurate data.
Having said that, there are obviously limits within how accurately these things can be defined within the simulator. The flight dynamic experts could probably improve on Microsoft's efforts as they have with several other of the default aircraft.

Trying to represent what it is like in real life as close as you can, FS2002 does have limits when on full realism. If you fly overspeed for too long, pull too many "G's" or overstress the aircraft in any way, you are going to find yourself in trouble. If you find yourself always overstressing the aircraft, turn the feature off!

The overstressing is a known feature problem. It comes down to realism trouble. My advice as a stunt nut myself is turn it off. It isn't one of the better features of 2k2.

Yeah - It's really annoying if you go for an outside view, then arkwardly in the corner you see overspeed. You then quickly pause it and then go to take off the autothrottle. Then, once it's back on again the autothrottle gradually slows the throttle and soon it just crashes midair if you understand
. I usually have it off otherwise I'd like to live through the actual problem once it had overstressed. For example in CFS you get shot, and once I was shot so my front left wheel would not contract. Luckily I landed it
but in FS2002 I'd like to be able to do the same. Though, with damage it's all or nothing. You can either have all with the annoying crashing in the air so to speak with flap, gear etc damage, or nothing
.
