(Un)fortunately there is not an auto trim function that I am aware of in CFS1. Trim in this sim is quite "heavy" and requires a very light touch. I find that in combat it is best to trim in a climb attitude to make turning faster, you will find that you stall more often if you don't keep the power up but you can flip over on a sixpence.
