Why the gas price go up?

I went to Chevron Gas Station and I choose Supreme. Then it's $1.99 per fuel. That's very expersive. Angry

4.54 letre's per gallon
thats £3.50 a gallon
on current exchange rate that works out at $5.50 a gallon! how do you think about how i feel? not happy is the answer. Undecided
