You decide.

...

I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in making one of these for FS2002 or the upcoming "A Century of Flight". This plane is not actually clasified as an aircraft but a boat. The reason being is that it is a WIG aircraft or 'Wing In Ground Effect' aircraft, which means that it can only fly at one 2.5 metres (about 7 feet) at the max off the ground, or sea.
This is because that it fly's on the ground effect phenomon which I can't explain because I my self don't really know where it is.
To find out more info go to http://www.flightship.net/ .
The aircraft is designed and built in Australia, some of you fellow Aussies may have seen it in the latest 'Australian Flying Magazine'. It can carry 8 passenger and is relatively fast and effecient for it's low powered engine.
To buy one though it will coast you US$800 000.

They are correctly called Ekranoplans, they were developed in Russia. There is a Russian website that you can download Ekranoplans from, but I can't remember the address off the top of my head (it is v.slow at their end, so it can take a couple of hours to download, but it is worth it). They are fun Smiley

That's what the Russians called them. They where developed during the Cold War to ship large amounts of passengers at high speeds. Some of the vehicles where bigger than a 747.

Nope Bman, it is some Russian site with a .ru suffix. Hmm as I don't have internet at home just at the moment (as my ISP are a bunch of muppets) I can't look it up. I'll see if I can find it on one of my backup CDs.....
