I just downloaded the spacecraft.dll file and it came with many other files, but i have no clue how to install everything and where to install it.  If anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it.

SmileyDid the readme file contain instructions for installing. This would be the only way of knowing where to put these files. Sometimes the author will include his/her email address, so you could write them for advice.
Post again, if you are still having problems and I will try to help. Smiley

I'd guess this is for the shuttle. Can you give us a full rundown of what happened?

SmileyCan you give the URl where you downloaded this add-on. You should also try to re-download this , because sometimes the file is not properly downloaded, therefore it is missing things. Again let me know where you got this, so I can download it, then I could give you better advice. Smiley

I downloaded it from www.avsim.com and the files name is "bsto-booster-&-shuttle".  Search for that zip on Avsim, thats the file I downloaded.

This is an addon for Orbiter, a freeware spaceflight simulator, not for FS.

SmileyWebbPA is right, the file you mentioned is for another simulation program, not FS2002. Avsim does categorize their files, like simviation. Just be careful on what you download for FS2002. Smiley
