You're about 2 weeks late.  It's no longer being distributed as freeware.  This is/was the site http://www.speakeasy.org/~rhogen/arrestorcables.htm

Check out this site which seems to have a live link at the bottom (look for ArrCab24.zip)

If you still can't find it leave your email address and I'll send you a copy.  I have ver 2.4 but the website says there was a 2.4.1

It's too bad that Mr. Hogen resorted to payware Undecided

Yeah, true.

But you have to figure, how many of us have been using ArrCab for so long. Thousands! It's such a popular program, it was bound to happen. He probably could have made it payware a long time ago.

I'm just glad I started using the freeware, a little after it was introduced. Now, we'll see how much better the updates will be.

I noticed something strange about that second link.  It points back to an inaccessable SimViation page.  But when I searched SimViation for it I couldn't find it.

Depending on the license, maybe they can post it again or if not I may have just killed the last available source for it.

By the way, does anyone have 2.4.1?

I can't believe how many people piss and moan about payware. Why should you get everything for free?

Didn't you pay for your MS2002, your joystick, your rudder peddels. When does you cheapness wear off?

Rich Hogan has done alot for the simming community. He was approached by Abacua or visaversa and has given them rights to it for 1 yr. After that it goes back to Rich's Property. If you don't want to purchase FD3 than wait a year and you can get a free version again.

But email a file that belongs to another company is totally wrong. If I or someone else uploaded Habu's Pavelow or worse yet, try to sell it as my payware the community would be all over everyone! So why do you feel it's right to pass on freeware that he has sold the rights to?

If there is an airshow with in 2 states of me I'm there&&...&&&&

I haven't seen anyone "piss and moan" about anything and I, for one, am getting a little tired of the tone of your posts.

I understand your point but if you feel so strongly about it, you should address your feelings to the people responsible for them.

Insulting everyone isn't likely to win you any friends.

well you have Andrew who has posted not only in this thread but it others regarding his displeasure with going payware.

Then you have others who have posted links to download it when they know it's no longer supposed to be posted.

I'm posting what I see, if you don't see a problem with priating payware than you need to open your eyes  Shocked

My friends are the ones getting screwed by this, if my "friends" were posting links I would be all over them as well.

Maybe you need to choose different friends if you see no fault in this. Wink

Andrew is perfectly entitled to his opinion. The fact that it disagrees with yours doesn't make it automatically wrong.

At what point did I say I supported software piracy? I've been a personal victim of it and in no way support it and I have said nothing that says I do.

Read my post  - as I said, I understand your point. I just disagree with the way you're putting it. Take a look at  imchief's post and spot the difference.

Obviously, unlike you, I don't have all the money in the world and can NOT afford the luxeries of buying payware whenever I want. I enjoy ArrestorCables and i'm sad to see it go payware, but that is ONLY an opinion. I will continue to use version 2.4 that I downloaded a while ago. I've respected Rich Hogen so far and I respect his decision now.
