ya u can do that with ttools but it takes a bit of work. and it might slow down your system alittle but probably only like .0001 fps cause just think about all those aircraft already flying around!!! so really it shouldnt do much but as with anything that u add to fs will slow it down just like adding a % onto the ai trafic bar that is it. so dont worry about any slow down unless u add a few hundred flights or something.

With all due respect to the previous poster...the more aircraft you add...the more system resources they will eat..thus slowing your sim down. So, you will see some performance degradation.
Especially if you use aircraft models that are not GMAX and were not specially designed for use as AI.
If you want more traffic, you need to add models specially designed for that purpose.
You will have to work hard to find a balance between the number of AI you wish to see and how fast you want your sim to run.

Download AFCAD and Ttools and then read the documentation that comes with them. Plus you can use the AFCAD and Ttools forum to learn more about adding AI traffic.
www.projectai.com
is also a good source for ai traffic of a comercial nature.
Adding your own traffic takes a bit of learning, but the learning curve is pretty slight....
