Greetings, all!
"Getting tired of shooting up small to medium Japanese Bombers? Looking for a bigger, badder, harder target? Look some more!"
I've noticed the lack of any Nakajima G10N 'Fugaku'(or 'Mount Fuji') experimental heavy bombers, for use in CFS2 or otherwise... I see it that the G4M2 Betty and just about any other small to medium Japanese bombers, add-on or stock, just lack the power that the American bombers, yet again add-on or stock, have... The easiest way to solve this would be to piece together the experimental 'Fugaku' experimental heavy bomber...
For starters, some background and other info; The G10N 'Fugaku' was basicly the equal of the American B-29 Superfortress, yet was bigger and had a longer range. It was a six engined experiment aimed at striking the United States' coast--while taking off from Japan, or captured bases in China, even. It was capable of carrying a considerable bombload across the Pacific Ocean and bomb the coast, and further inland. Its range and endurance was great--and it could be expected to fly a single heading(perfectly straight, level, and at a set speed and altitude) and leave plenty of fuel with which it would make its return trip. If it encountered resistance, it would expend more fuel and therefore shorten its range and its endurance. Makes sense, right?
It was huge.
And heavily armed.
An interesting target, that--like the german Amerika Bomber and so many other aircraft from the Axis countries--could have changed the tide of the war, if only it had arrived on time, on budget.
With the G10, it would be easy to carry on the war in the game and create a few dozen greatly fun 'What If?' Scenarios that we all--or mostly all--enjoy so much.
So, guys an' gals, how 'bout it? It'd be a great challenge for the maker, and could possibly be pretty rewarding, if made share-ware or pay-ware...

Yo ACE,
I've never seen a G10N Fugaku on the net and it would be cool if some designer could come up with one (I have a soft spot for Japanese aircraft of the Second World War).
But if your looking for a large Japanese bomber try a CFS addon called "Pacific Combat Pilot", published by 'Just Flight', on the disc there is a Nakajima G8N1 Renzan (along with other Japanese aircraft). The G8N1 was a four engine heavy bomber probably equivalent to a B-24. Lots of defensive fire power from the top, bottom and rear.
If your interested try the 'Just Flight' web site, it is payware, and if its still avaibile should be reasonable priced.

Sounds sweet.
Haven't had much luck finding any good pictures of the 'Mount Fuji,' but it basicly looks like an enlarged version of the VB planes G5N, from the few pictures I had found(the links to which have been lost, closed, or otherwise rendered inaccessible...). Anyone interested in puttng in a few hours on the G10 might want to check the Warbirds Resource Group(.org) website... They may have updated their site and located some information on the gigantic bomber, but so far I don't believe so...
It'd be a nice aircraft to see in action in CFS2--and a hard target; challenging and fun.
I know most people don't pay any attention to experimental aircraft, but someone might contact one of the crews from either Sim-Outhouse or AvHistory--home of the 1% aircraft... They've both done some work with the experimental stuff, and its all turned out pretty well.

"And with this three view and these specs... A lumbering giant may finally taxi off the drawing board, into the sim world, and right into our crosshairs...!"
Any more accurate information on the range? I feel my earlier info may have been exaggerated, but then again, the information from the other minor sites--whose addresses I fail to remember--wasn't exactly matching, from site to site... So, It was a decent estimate... Anyhow--good luck in advance and if I could help, just say the word. Heh.
