I'm gonna post some shots of my Tornados down on the deck, just wondering who can beat me 8)
(probably Ozzy upside down in a 747 or something

What do you call a B-1B Lancer, going 600 knots, on the deck, with 12000 pounds of bombs, and a load of fuel, plus 3 crewmembers screaming at you to pull up. I call it fun

Craig, 747s are easy. I've been re-thinking some things and experimenting a bit... Here are a couple of things you can try in a Pitts
Firstly always remember its a tail dragger.... (look just behind for the sparks, this was on full realism settings!)
And the hazards of listening to the Beech Boys whilst flying are now being discovered....
Hmm and people say I'm mad. Can't imagine why. Watch out for some new tricks in the new Concorde!

c'mon fellas! in my first pic my tail wheel was actually trundling along the ground!
And in the second I rammed a staff car....

Can I draw you your attention to my mosquito, I did crash, but I wouldn't have done if the ground had been a little bit lower.
There is low level and then there is silly. We are all silly I guess.

Hey Bman, Woodie admitted to cheating and dying!!!
I think SilverFox deserves this one, he got even more sparks than me! And we didn't loose it.
Hmm, think I've got to go fly. Back soon with a special!

HEY!!! I didn't say I died!!! I said I rammed a staff car! It didn't fly too well afterwards and I belly flopped.
But in the first pic... I lived!!!!! And my whole plane is level and so the whole thing is lower than yours and sliverfoxes.

Also may I add that your chinook is half submerged and therefore does not count as being airborne... Anyone can hover!

Upon further review, I have deemed it almost impossible to accomplish the feat inverted. After a half hour around lodon in a 777, I have done many normal passes and one inverted pass during which a crashed. Oh well, it's up to you now ozzy!

but are we judging by the time of the shot or the discription of the flight? because woodie might very well have crashed afterwords, but at the time of the shot, he was still off the ground(barely) and uncrashed

B'man,....don't be alarmed....as everyone knows when you deal with aerodynamics of wings, a plane with washout will stall more gently than one without
......I was merely getting a better handling plane at low speed when I washed the tail in the drink
.....that was just off St Maarten....... 8)

have heard of better ways of washing the tail than, going inverted inches +/- above the drink, whatever happened to a hose

Yeah nice shots, but guys its with a prop that makes a real man, 'cos if you nose over you loose your engines! whereas with a jet 2k2 lets you keep your power. This is why surfing in a Pitts is much cooler than a jumbo. Trust me I'm a stunt nutter (as is well known around here!)

HA you just try it!
Who can get a prop down at that hight with wings level... Plus an IL2 is much harder to control than a Bf109... You gotta live afterwards aswell remember that.

I guess the proof of whether or not these images are just before a crash or not is to use smoke and see how far the trail goes back in a stable manner..........

Earlier today I was flying around the Honolulu\Pearl Harbour area and saw the bridge there by the city. I was in the stock piper cherokee and decided to fly under it. My brother thought I was crazy but I made it

Now you are starting to get it, but you gotta back off the throttle and increase the angle of attack.....its more interesting when the ailerons become sluggish and the elevator is slow to respond....its so much easier when you do it fast.

Thats the reason the tail of the Zlin is dragging low, and the side benefit is that you keep prop clearance to ensure the engine doesn't die, either......... 8)....but again, like I said, the ailerons get slow and the elevator takes some anticipation to fly at that reduced effectiveness level..........

It seems like there is a little bit of confusion as to who should be the highest ranking nutcase here, and when all is said and done, due to my pure sense of my own rank, ( and after a few pickled eggs and beer, I am rank) I hereby volunteer to carry the torch until someone else decides to lay claim to being a crazier flier.......offer is on the table now ........

This is the most interesting subject I have watched in awhile, lol. You guys are definitely crazy (in a good way of course) But youre gonna have to build extension wheels on yer wingtips (high wing a/c) and vertical tail/rudder? That way ya might land inverted and wont get hurt lol Geez!!! Keep it goin'!!!

I know that this one shouldn't count for being a " low " pass, but it was a tight one........and in case some were wondering if going under the Eiffel Tower was feasible then try going through it like I did.....the Arc D'Triomph on the other hand is one with very little margin for error ....my splitting smoke is a prob at times when I get too low in dense surroundings...not sure why, but will have to live with it for a while........anyway, here are some of what I did tonight.........

Hello All,
I usually fly the heavies but after watching this thread, I thought I would start to entertain it!
I am going to save my pics of my inverted 747 (getting a tail washing!), until the end!!
But for now I want you to know that in a covert operation the other day while Ozzy was asleep after a long haul, I snuck into his hanger and "jump started" one of his Spitfires!! I took it for a dive off off the beach, ducked its tail in the water (no spalsh??) then pulled up and put it back in his hanger. Guess he never knew! Probably was wondering why the tail was so clean though,
Pitching Down !!!
Cleanin' the Tail (and the canopy)!!!
Pullin' Up !
Geuss I'm in the game now

I have yet to find an A/C which has an airfile which will allow enough effective rudder when airborne, to hold knifedge. Most work only when on the ground .....if you are making a high "G" turn, I can understand, but then we should see a circle when viewed from above..........

I love a challenge. Here's my attempt. This is the MH-53J Pavelow in Alaska in 16+ knot wind and snow at 85kts (notice the enlarged flight data and wake of snow and dirt). This is not a hover! And I was actually able to keep like this for a few seconds. That's pretty good for me!

Ok guys...... lol.. I thought the SR-71 screaming at mach 2, 6 feet above the water was a nice touch.... Then I finally see the 747 inverted and I"m sure it's fully loaded. Now... how about the ultimate of low? Anyone able to fly a sailplane inverted only feet if not inches off of the deck without crashing?
Or better yet... how about inverted sailing under a bridge? I'll keep checking for some new pics...

Nope! I give you my word I landed both shots and I do have all realism settings to max. I wont fly otherwise.
The first shot is of a SU-27, under a bridge just down from the Sydney Harbour bridge in Sydney, Australia.
The second is of a RAAF P-3C Orion. Both shots taken in the same area. The P-3 is prop striking in the shot.
Airport is 'YSSY rwy 34L'

"NEGATIVE GhostRider....the pattern is full!"
after just reading this thread I had to try this out! It took a few tries to get it without crashing or stressing the aircraft out with full realism, but was a helluva lot of fun trying!
the first one is the lowest I got, the second just because it looked cool and I loved the roll! LOL
Great thread!!

Ok, here's my contribution, I don't care if you don't believe I survived this event. However, shortly after, both my pilots got shot up by a luftwaffe pilot, unfortunately nobody could get to the flight deck to take over.

Yeah, I found it at ebgames.com with Gunship! and European Air War for 10 bucks. Been playin' it since I got it. This contest would have better results if we all used this sim, because the planes break apart a lot easier than the MS ones. We'd get a lot of interesting broken plane shots.

I would Wolfie, but then you fly a lot safer than I do! I'll try and post a link to my old thread on flying inverted, including the inverted loop in Concorde around the Golden Gate Bridge!

I don't think that this thread was initially intended as a real " winner " competition, but more of a showcase for all you crazy guys to let us all know that it doesn't hurt when you crash on here.....no bandages required for healing ! 8)

Craig, you should have known better! You've been around here long enough to know how many lunatics fly here! And then post their stunts..... as a challenge to the rest of us. I know I'm v.guilty

Not that impressive. I do that in 747's just to prove its easy.
Hardly challenging. Try looping a bridge. Thats fun.
Also I notice that some of you seem to be cheating a bit. I think its high time you guys gave up. We've seen low from most on the forums now and I doubt anything new is going to be tried so stop. The topics trying to slip into the depths of the forums but you keep dragging it back again. 13 pages is long enough for any topic.
