I cant remember where, but I saw a picture where the Photographer smartly managed to grab a pic with the Screen in the background(since pictures arnt allowed ) at the Daybute of CFS3 at a software show Q3 or something like that But it was a p 80 shooting star cockpit and the visual aid location and coloring has changed ,If you look at the pictuers of the JU 88 screenshots you see a clear cone that was cut in half

Not shure what you mean with that Ju88 cone but yes,
the CFS3 terrain at E3 2002 times was greatly different from the final version.
Don't think that the cockpits where much different from final apart from German gauges which where not implemented by that time.

You probably mean the target cone that changes from red (pointing towards an ennemy) to green (pointing towards a friend).
I have it disabled in cfs3config.
