i am new at making aircraft, and i`m learning gmax.In late june I will start making aircraft models.I will be making a tu 22 backfire, but i`ve mailed tupelov for the dimentions for everything i need to know(in metric and customary units),engine specs, fuel, etc.,and I`ve got info that they will be sending them to me soon.anyway,I want to make a plane alot of ppl are desiring.make your requests here.I will be making a plane that most ppl want.don`t expect anything special like those cabin views of that falcon 50 caea, but it will have a custom panel.remember,I will only be making
1
plane.most likley you will not get the plane you want.

Try making a Norman Trislander. I have seen plenty of requests for it. Either that or a good ultralight.

Then you can REALLY criticize the builder and heap all sorts of abuse on him ....  and just think, no one could really contradict you!

all in good fun - and welcome to the madness!

Like X_eidos said, learn the software first, do some simple projects before plunging into the "meat" of a project.

Have a shot at building a FAA Fairey firefly from 1772 sqn HMS Indefatagble during ww2.

That'd be cool.

Oh thats the Su-T4, ya there are 2 out for MSFS now i beliveve, they are recent and are good models. I would like to see the Tu-22M Backfire, i have the Tu-160 Black Jack, very nice plane. Also the plane can carry weapons out on external hardpoints, i think 3, 1 centerline(drops away then you can open the bay doors)and 2 thats are out board of it but not on the swing-wings. the ones outside would be AS-4 Kitchen long-range cruise missles(70's-80's era missle), if you need pics of the missles or plane just email me.

Just found these specs for it, it includes it for diff models on the aircraft, and a long summary of it.

Oh theres one more problem, there are Tu-22's but some models have a diff design of engine placement. Some have the mounted high on the tail, and some in the fusalage with long intakes.

Hi Katana!

Tovarish, assumin' that as I russian guy you will be able to find easier the blue prints of so many russian a/c, why don't you start it by Cold War?
As the a/c became, let's say, more complex, and you expertice turn shall raise quickly, is fair enough to think about it, isn't it?
The more U learn, the more complex the a/c shall be, and if U want some help, glad do help!

If you're making Russian aircraft, there are so many that need to be made. A list of the best Russian planes I can't find anywhere:

Tupolev: Tu-204/214/224/234/324/330

Yakovlev: Yak-42

Ilyushin: Il-62/76/96/114

The Il-96 and the Tu-204 are my personal favorites.
Also, If you ever consider making Airbus aircraft, the flight sim community lacks a GMAX A340.

If it was made durring the Cold War the KGB, GRU, or MSB(whatever its called now) may have used it for intel gathering operations, like we the US used modified 707's for this practice, but i have no idea if this is true ???

Could you or would you design 1 or all below:
1. Beech/Raytheon Super King Air B200 For FS2002
2. Beech/Raytheon Super King Air 350 For FS2002
3. Beech/Raytheon King Air C90B For FS2002
4. Beech/Raytheon King Air E90 For FS2002
5. Beech/Raytheon King Air F90 For FS2002

These are the planes I would most like to but if I were to choose only one, I would choose the:
Beech/Raytheon Super King Air B200 in a 1980s style paint with if you could, the registration: N646BM

Thank You,
KingairB200

Katana,
Hey man, how's it going?
Are you the same guy that was always posting all the mistakes that you found in the sim? And now, you're jumping into the world of aircraft design. WOW, I guess Flanker wasn't all what you expected?
But, seriously, I would think that since you were such a huge Flanker fan, that a variation of that aircraft would be your first attempt at designing. Although, I think the Tu22 or the Tu26 would make wonderful additions to anyones collection, I believe once you see how incredibly hard it is to design these files, you'll suddenly appreciate the hard work done by all the full time designers and go back to your Flanker sim.
Just teasing.
Good Luck, you're going to need it.  Grin

If you still want to make Russian aircraft, the Beriev Be-200 is an excellant aircraft that has never been made.  It is a jet powered amphibian used for fire fighting.  It is a very interesting plane.

Gabby,

Mike Stone has done a fantastic Grumman Goose. It has been out for a while so you may not have found it 'if'....and you should have, searched first.

I think it is on this site but if not try the other fs one and it will definitely be there.

The model may have been out for a few months but the features are still right up there.

if he keeps the nose as a seperate part, it's quite easy to make a MiG-23 out of a MiG-27, the biggest difference is the nose

I wish that I had read the list before I posted my enquiry!

If you fancy a real challenge why not do a Meserschmidt Me328 pulsejet powered fighter/bomber.

This little monster almost got into squadron service and many prototypes and production aircraft were built and flown.

It was small and highly (possibly too!) manouverable. the two argus pulse jets meant that it was very fast and vibrated worse than an old car.  Two even shook themselves to pieces in mid air.

In fact the pilot could jetison the engines in an emergency (which was one up on the Boeing 707, which did it at random)

Yes the Me328 would be a really good project for someone that:

     (a)  Is looking for a challenge.
     (b)  Likes the unusual.
or   (c)  Is slightly mad.

Do YOU fall into any (or all) of the above catagories?

If so then the Me328 is the plane for you (or at least a close facsimilly of one) and I am sure that anyone who flew it would find the little monster to be totally frustrating.

All the best,
Ken Attwood (un repentant member of the Luftwaffe fan club)
Cornwall, UK (definately not a part of England)
