Hi, BH!,

I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say:  We're mighty proud to have you! Wink

And I can't wait to read about your experiences in the Philippines when the final draft is published, as you mentioned in the "General Discussion, Who was in the military?" topic.

Best wishes,
DougC-3

Why do you all see those interesting stuff flying around?? LOL

The first I've seen and remember is probably a Cessna Skyhawk... What a boring plane.... Grin

The first airshow I ever went to, was at CFB Shearwater, and I remember riding on an APC (M113 probably) and yelling to my dad over all the noise "Daddy, I want to go home NOW!!". This was when I still didn't have much love for the tremendous noise the F-15C doing solo created Grin I felt releived when I saw the F-15C climb up, and the noise go away, but a few secs later, it comes straight down, and with even more noise Grin I just love the F-15C Grin Grin

The most recent airshow was over at NAS Lemoore 2 years ago!? That's quite a ways back. LOL. I saw the SuperBug fly, quite impressive I might add, but I was even more impressed by the F-16 flyby done on the 2nd day Smiley

I hope to go to NAF Atsugi on the 28th this month and go see some Navy again... Grin

the first plane i remember seeing was a  probably a 737 i live near newcastle airport so you see every plane making their final approach i think that was the reason why i got intrested in aviation because i can just sit outside and watch all of the aircraft

The first plane that I remember would Have to be The F-4 Phantom. However, since my Dad and I love Airplanes I guess that I Have seen quite a few. I even remember seeing an SR-71 taking off from Nellis when I was about 10.  Grin

Hey, Bonzonie,

I am stationed at NAS Lemoore right now and in 1996 I was stationed at Atzugi. I miss that place. I miss the Georgia Coffee's and the food there.  Sad

Wow!

Atusgi must have been too hot and humid for you. tons of mosquitoes to go around!

I'm going to miss the 'Cat when it goes away.. Hopefully I'll be seeing it for a couple more years......

I see Japanese RF-4 and F-4EJ "Kai"s sometimes as well. They are LOUD!

I saw a C-5 a while back, and I loved the sound of those engines. it gave a distinct "roar".

I have no clear memory about the first plane I ever saw, but I guess it would have been an older type of air liner flying from East Midlands airport. I do remember a small company flying DC-3's from there that I used to see a lot when I was a kid, so I guess that could well have been my first one.
